Right to Dry

You may have read some recent posts about my clothes line. Check out Kim Komando's video of the day from CBS about clothes line controversy around the nation.

Do you know if you can dry in your neighborhood? What argument do you agree with? Are clothes lines a good way to save energy, an eyesore or both?

Don't know if we have a law but I know when I moved into my house the neighbor across the way came over and said thank goodness we have new neighbors maybe now we won't have to look at clothes on a line. I quickly instructed my husband to remove the clothes line. I did not want to make enemies on the first week in my first house. Years later I still dry clothes on a line in my basement but I miss the smell of fresh air on the clothes. Maybe next summer I will put the poles back up in the yard. I like your blog, it gets me thinking and acting.

Great! I'm glad you enjoy the blog. I know it is an unending process trying to go green, and it helps to read and see about what others are doing. Let me know if you have any questions or if I could be of any help to you!
